Dr. A.A. FARDOUS is the Director General of the National
Center for Agricultural Research and Technology Transfer
since August 1999. He acted as the deputy Director General
of the National Center for Agricultural Research and Technology
Transfer, and Director of Water Research and Environment
Program. He also worked as the Director of Water Research
and environmental management program. Dr. Fardous is the
coordinator of many research and extension projects funded
by international organization. In addition he is currently
member of the steering committees for many regional project
funded by MERC, Danish government, UNDP, ACSAD and ICARDA.
He also taught Environmental Biophysics in the University
of Jordan, and supervised many MSc students in soil and
irrigation. Dr. Fardous holds a Ph.D. degree in soil physics
from Washington State University and MSc degree in irrigation
from the University of Jordan.
Eng. M.A. JITAN is a Senior Researcher at NCARTT since June 1996 at the
department of Water and Environment Program, Specialty:
Water and Irrigation Management. He started his career
in the research work at the Faculty of Agriculture, University
of Jordan. . (Teaching & Research Assistant - Soil
and Irrigation Courses) and later as a researcher at the
Water and Environmental Research and Study Center, University
of Jordan. (Water & irrigation management). During
this period he participated some related projects such
as Baseline Survey in the Central Jordan Valley and Zarqa
Triangle, Irrigation Management Information System (IMIS)
in the Jordan Valley (On going Research), The use of treated
wastewater in Agriculture in Jordan.
