The fast changing land cover in the cultivated area appears clearly in the central corridor of the valley (Jordanian territory is on the east part of the river), whereas the shadows in the mountains diminish with increasing solar elevation. Notice the large number of green houses (the lighter rectangles). This series will be used to discriminate among crops (land cover classification) and to compute evapotranspiration for the main ones.

After geometric corrections and radiometric normalisation, the animation has been created by transparency transition effects between each dates. Note the time scale at the bottom of the animation, indicating the exact dates of acquisition.
